Drivers Education classroom and laboratory course provide students with the knowledge and experience to become safe drivers on American roadways. Legal obligations and responsibility, rules of the road and traffic procedures, safe driving strategies and practices, and physical and mental factors affecting the driver's capability are all included as topics of this course. Experience in driving a vehicle is an essential component of this course: students will receive their certificate of completing at the end of the course.

**STUDENTS MUST BE AT LEAST 14 YEARS OF AGE AND OBTAIN A VALID LEARNERS PERMIT FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PRIOR TO TAKING THIS COURSE.
